PCS Software, Inc. is seeking a creative and versatile Multimedia Designer to join our dynamic Marketing Team. This role is ideal for a skilled professional with a strong background in animation, video editing, and basic web coding, along with experience in digital promotion. The Multimedia Designer will play a key role in crafting engaging visuals and interactive content to support our marketing initiatives, enhance digital presence, and elevate event experiences.

Position Overview: As a Multimedia Designer at PCS Software, Inc., you will join a marketing team dedicated to driving measurable success for PCS through compelling and innovative digital content. In this role, you will develop digital assets for our website, social media, and sales materials, leveraging video production, animation, graphic design, and photography. Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, you will produce visually compelling content designed to engage our audience and reinforce PCS’s position as a leader in transportation management software. The Multimedia Designer will also create and execute design solutions and collateral used for marketing, advertising, sales, and other forms of communication, including imagery, charts, infographics, and multimedia elements. Coordinates with internal customers and stakeholders to conceptualize and deliver projects on time and budget. 

Candidates need to be experienced using a variety of design and editing tools and software such as Adobe. Knowledge of color, composition, typography, digital design and production management are essential to this role. The work of the Multimedia Designer is generally independent and collaborative in nature. The Multimedia Designer will contribute to moderately complex aspects of a project and therefore require 3-7 years of related experience plus the ability to showcase your professional portfolio of work as part of the interview process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with our Web Producer to create dynamic and visually appealing web pages.
• Produce high-quality videos for product demonstrations, customer testimonials, and promotional content optimized for digital channels including YouTube.
• Design compelling short-form video and animations tailored for social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube).
• Capture and edit photography for use across digital platforms, including web content, marketing collateral, and social media.
• Ensure digital assets are optimized for web performance and SEO
• Collaborate on digital marketing strategies and design visuals for multiple platforms to support marketing initiatives
• Create day-to-day graphic assets including flyers, case studies, email templates, event banners, and digital advertisements.
• Ensure all creative outputs align with brand guidelines and standards and follow best practices.
• Leverage AI-driven tools to remain ahead of digital trends and continually enhance our creative impact.

AVERAGE DAY:

• 35% Graphic Design of advertising for Digital, Print, Trade show booths, Invitations, Brochures, whitepapers, and flyers.
• 25% Website design/updates primarily on WordPress.
• 25% Social Media Design
• 5% Logo and Corporate Identity Design
• 5% Animation of social posts, video/logo trailers
• 5% Assist with photo and video shoots

Technical Competencies and Skills Include: Graphic Design, Print and Digital Design, Image Editing, Motion Graphic Design, Layout Design, Graphic Design Software, Branding, Concept Development, Conceptual Design, Design, Product Requirements, Creative Management, Project Administration.

Application Requirements:

Submit a portfolio or showcase of work highlighting animation, video editing, print design and layout, and web design skills.

Salary Range: $60,000 to $90,000 based on skill level, geographic location, and years of experience.

 What We Are Looking For:

• A strong portfolio showcasing graphic design work, with additional experience in web design or motion graphics a plus! 
• Strong understanding of consumer psychology and buyer motivation that translates into the correct use of color, typography, layout and photography to move target audiences to action using emotive design. 
• A strong sense of social style, cultures, demographics and norms across all age cohorts.
• Worldliness coupled with understanding of middle-class transportation and trucking industry norms and demographics.
• Advanced Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects.)
• Basic HTML (preferred)
• CSS, Flash and other relevant technology skills are a plus.
• Proven experience with camera operation, lighting, sound recording, and video editing. 
• Ability and willingness to travel for on-location video shoots; proximity to a major airport hub required (Houston preferred.)
• Demonstrated skill in web design platforms like WordPress.
• Familiarity with photography principles, digital photo editing, and asset management.
• Understanding and enthusiasm for AI-driven technologies in creative content.
• Strong foundational knowledge in branding, typography, layout design, and color theory.
• Ability to authentically connect with the blue-collar roots of our transportation industry customers.
• Diverse portfolio showcasing expertise in web design, video production, animation, photography, and graphic design.
• Proven ability in visual storytelling to effectively communicate brand messages and customer experiences.
• Creative, self-motivated, and collaborative approach, able to effectively work across teams.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills—you will work closely with our team to bring ideas to life that spans print,      digital, and video.
• The ability to juggle multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities with working independently with minimal supervision.
• Be open to working on last-minute projects and quick turnarounds when needed.
• Prepare project proposals outlining creative concepts and execution plan that meet the timeline and deadlines for marketing activities.
• Be able and open to working events on their own if needed and be a key part of the larger marketing team.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work full-time hours and some nights or weekends.
• Excellent attention to detail and a creative mindset.
• Knowledge of web design principles and best practices.
