Description

We are seeking a self-starter Mechanical Engineering student to join our team as a Summer Intern. This role is ideal for someone eager to apply academic knowledge to real world engineering challenges, contribute to meaningful projects, and gain hand son experience in a collaborative, fast paced environment. 



Responsibilities
  • Assist engineers with the design, development, and testing of mechanical components and systems.
  • Create and update CAD models, drawings, and documentation.
  • Support prototype fabrication, testing, data collection, and analysis.
  • Conduct research to support engineering decisions and project planning.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide ideas for improvement.
  • Help troubleshoot mechanical issues and contribute to root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams such as manufacturing, quality, and product management.
  • Maintain organized engineering files and ensure documentation accuracy. 


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Completed foundational coursework (e.g., Statics, Dynamics, Materials, Thermodynamics).
  • Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or similar).
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication processes, and lab/test equipment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, and able to work both independently and in teams.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with hands on prototyping or machining (3D printing, CNC, shop tools).
  • Familiarity with FEA tools (e.g., SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS).
  • Knowledge of tolerance stack ups and technical drawing standards.
  • Prior internship, project team, or lab experience.
