Job Summary The Mechanical Product Engineer is responsible for the design, development, validation, and sustaining of mechanical aspects of high-technology electronic products from concept through mass production. This role works cross-functionally with electrical, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure products meet performance, reliability, cost, and manufacturability requirements in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities Product Design & Development
Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for electronic products (enclosures, chassis, thermal solutions, brackets, connectors, etc.).
Create 3D models, detailed drawings, and specifications using CAD tools.
Perform tolerance analysis, material selection, and mechanical simulations (thermal, structural, vibration).
Manufacturing & Industrialization
Support NPI (New Product Introduction) from prototype through ramp to mass production.
Collaborate with manufacturing engineering to ensure DFM, DFA, and DFx compliance.
Support tooling design (injection molds, die casting, sheet metal, CNC) and review supplier tooling proposals.
Resolve manufacturing issues, yield losses, and mechanical defects during pilot and production runs.
