Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all engineering instructions, standard operating procedures, and departmental procedures
  • Learn to perform machine setups on:
    • Manual lathes
    • Manual mills
    • CNC lathes
    • CNC mills
    • Waterjet machines
      (for all programs and part types including production and/or engineering parts, with moderate to light assistance)
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines as required per the company Preventative Maintenance (P.M.) Program.
  • Learn to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for all processes and programs.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Use standard measuring tools including, but not limited to:
    • Micrometers (O.D. & I.D.)
    • Calipers
    • Bore gages
    • Protractors
    • Height gages
    • Depth gages
  • Develop knowledge of:
    • Machine safety practices
    • Job orders
    • Calibration requirements
    • Basic CNC program knowledge (preferred)
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Follow all prescribed safety regulations.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality:
    • Be at workstation ready at the start of shift.
    • Remain on the job until end of shift (or until replacement arrives if required).
  • Assist other departments as necessary with management approval.
  • Demonstrate respect, courtesy, and professionalism toward customers and employees.
  • Participate as an integral member of the team.
  • Accept accountability for personal actions.
  • Positively represent the company with integrity and trust.
  • Comply with all workplace laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience:
  • Entry-level position: prior machining or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience with CNC machinery is a plus.
  • Skills:
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to use handheld measuring tools accurately.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (or willingness to learn).
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic understanding of machine safety principles.
  • Willingness to learn machine setup and calibration processes.

     Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
