West Janisch Health Care Center is seeking a Full-Time LVN or RN Charge Nurse to join our clinical leadership team for the 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM shift. This role is ideal for a nurse who is confident, compassionate, and comfortable taking the lead in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment.

As a Charge Nurse, you will play a key role in coordinating care, supporting nursing staff, and ensuring residents receive high-quality, resident-centered care throughout your shift.

The Charge Nurse is a vital part of daily operations, serving as a clinical leader, mentor, and advocate for residents. Your leadership helps set the tone for the shift and ensures smooth communication, strong teamwork, and excellent care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans

• Supervise and support CNAs and nursing staff during the shift

• Administer medications and treatments as ordered

• Perform assessments and monitor resident conditions

• Communicate changes in condition to physicians and leadership

• Ensure accurate and timely documentation

• Maintain compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements

• Promote a safe, supportive, and team-oriented work environment

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Active LVN or RN license in the state of Texas (required)

• Prior skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience preferred

• Charge nurse or leadership experience strongly preferred

• Strong clinical judgment and organizational skills

• Ability to lead, communicate, and problem-solve effectively

• Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused
