Our client, a well-established and growing Houston law firm, is seeking an experienced Legal Legal Assistant to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-level support to a group of busy attorneys, primarily within Labor & Employment litigation, while contributing to a collaborative and professional work environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, edit, and finalize pleadings, motions, notices, and other legal documents
  • Perform daily revisions to letters, forms, and templates
  • Handle e-filing in state and federal courts
  • Coordinate citations and service of process
  • Manage attorney calendars, including hearings, depositions, meetings, and deadlines
  • Organize and maintain case files, forms, and templates
  • Process check requests and expense reimbursements
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to attorneys
 
What We’re Looking For:
  • 5+ years of litigation experience, with at least 4 years supporting Labor & Employment attorneys
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and proofreading skills with a sharp eye for detail
  • Proficiency in e-filing procedures (state and federal)
  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented work ethic
  • Experience with PowerPoint and Excel a plus
  • Background in construction litigation a plus
