As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank organization, you will play a crucial role as part of an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner.

Job responsibilities

 

  • Partners with business stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and define future strategies for architecture and application development
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to onboard new marketing tools, guiding them through firmwide onboarding processes to enhance user engagement
  • Translates business and functional requirements into technical designs aligned with enterprise-level architecture standards
  • Develops and maintains Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) components to support high-availability, high-traffic sites
  • Diagnoses, debugs, and resolves technical issues related to CMS implementation and complex system integrations
  • Collaborates with cross-functional technical teams on application deployment, performance optimization, monitoring, reliability, and scalability 
  • Design and develop reusable templates, components, and services in partnership with technology, product, and business teams
  • Builds and optimizes web user interfaces using AEM and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React), ensuring cross-browser/platform compatibility and speed
  • Works closely with design, business analysis, project management, and content teams to ensure technical feasibility, design quality, and timely delivery of web assets 
  • Supports global teams across time zones and collaborate on A/B testing, requirements definition, and cross-platform design initiatives

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Hands-on coding experience in Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) architecture, components, templates, and workflows
  • Demonstrated knowledge of architecture and design across all systems
  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
  • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
 
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices 
  • Strong understanding of SEO, web analytics, and performance optimization
