Position Overview:
TNT Crane & Rigging, a leading provider of crane and rigging solutions, is seeking an experienced seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Network Administrator to support the daily operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our organization's network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior IT staff to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing network systems across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and internet connectivity.
• Support the configuration and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and other network devices.
• Perform routine network performance tuning and reporting to identify and resolve potential issues.
• Respond to help desk tickets and provide technical support to end-users related to connectivity or network access.
• Maintain network documentation including IP address management, topology diagrams, and equipment inventory.
• Assist with network security initiatives such as patching, access control, and monitoring tools.
• Participate in network-related projects, including system upgrades and new deployments.
• Stay current with networking technologies and best practices.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Jr. Network Administrator
Technical Skills & Experience
• 0–2 years of experience in IT support or networking role.
• Basic knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
• Familiarity with common networking hardware and software (Cisco, Ubiquiti, Fortinet, etc.).
• Understanding of firewalls, VPNs, and network security principles.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant certifications (CompTIA Network+, CCNA, etc.) are a plus.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
• Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Meraki, SolarWinds, Unifi).
• Exposure to cloud networking (AWS, Azure) or hybrid environments.
• Basic scripting or automation (PowerShell, etc.).
Education & Certifications (Preferred but Not Always Required)
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Working Conditions:
• Full-time position, with occasional on-call responsibilities for system emergencies.
• Office environment with occasional travel to remote sites.
• May require after-hours work for maintenance or emergency support.
