Description

The Internal Auditor - Finance Analyst supports the Internal Audit department’s day-to-day functions which include basic/fundamental analysis of financial data and assisting with the execution of the internal audit plan under the direction of a manager. The Internal Auditor is responsible for gathering and reporting information required to complete assigned auditing procedures, drafting written results of assigned areas and making suggestions for improvement.

Schedule and Location:

  • The position has a hybrid work schedule consisting of Tuesday through Thursday in the office. Monday and Friday provide the option to work remotely or from the office.
  • This open role is located at our modern ten-story corporate headquarters in Spring, Texas.

What You Will Do:

  • Compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Prepare regular and simple / straightforward ad hoc management information reports and spreadsheets, collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
  • Accurately enter key data into our accounting and financial systems.
  • Maintain records and document financial processes.
  • Maintain an effective internal controls environment by following FSG Policy and Procedural Statements, and requesting clarification when guidance is unclear.

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or equivalent 
  • 0-2 years of experience in Finance

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of data privacy and security principles.
  • Accurately and efficiently input financial data into spreadsheets or accounting system. Complete high-quality account reconciliations.
  • Basic knowledge of financial and accounting systems, data analysis techniques and data visualization tools and software.
  • Understand key performance indicators (KPIs) and their significance.
  • Communicate basic insights from data analysis.
  • Ability to obtain a working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Management System. 
  • Ability to demonstrate independent, objective, open-minded thinking with strong attention to detail and sound judgment. 

Reporting Relationships:

Reports to Manager and has no direct reports.
