Driver Helper

The Driver’s Helper works in the field assisting the Driver in delivering cabinets to each job, ensuring products are delivered on time and in excellent condition.

• Physically capable of lifting boxes up to 75 pounds
• Transport boxes using dollies and pallet jacks
• Knowledge of GPS devise usage – At times a helper may need to navigate for a driver
• Knowledge of reading a map if required
• Ability to work on a set and/or changing schedule to meet company requirements
• Ability to work weekends if needed
• Follow routes and time schedules
• Work with driver to insure accurate loading and unloading of customer product
• Assist driver with all task with the exception off driving
• Report all issues with a delivery or deadline problems to a supervisor in a timely manner
• Be punctual to facilitate on-time deliveries
• Consistently dress in line with company clothing requirements

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

• High school degree or equivalent
• Previous experience as driver helper strongly preferred
• Experience working in the residential construction industry a plus
• The successful candidate must be a strong team player who is able to work autonomously when required
