Position Summary

The Director of Hospitality is responsible for overseeing all front-of-house hospitality operations at the Hobby Center, ensuring an exceptional guest experience across concessions, bars, premium spaces, and special events. This role provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and team development while partnering closely with venue leadership, clients, and Spectrum Concessions to deliver high-quality service, financial performance, and brand standards.

 

This role pays an annual salary of $120,000-$130,000

Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Hospitality Leadership

  • Lead and champion a hospitality-first culture that delivers exceptional guest service at all points of interaction
  • Establish and maintain service standards for concessions, bars, premium seating areas, and special events
  • Proactively address guest feedback, service recovery, and continuous improvement opportunities

Operations & Event Management

  • Oversee day-to-day hospitality operations for performances, events, and private functions at the Hobby Center
  • Collaborate with venue leadership, culinary teams, and operations partners to ensure seamless event execution
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations
  • Manage staffing plans to support fluctuating event schedules and attendance levels

Financial & Business Performance

  • Partner with senior leadership to manage budgets, labor controls, and operating expenses
  • Monitor sales performance, labor productivity, and cost controls to achieve financial goals
  • Support pricing strategies, premium offerings, and revenue-enhancing initiatives

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop hospitality management and frontline teams
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and accountable work environment
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support employee growth and succession planning

Client & Stakeholder Relations

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for venue partners, promoters, clients, and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure contractual obligations and service-level expectations are consistently met
  • Represent Spectrum Concessions professionally within the venue and broader hospitality community

Strategic Planning & Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction
  • Implement best practices, standard operating procedures, and training programs
  • Support long-term planning initiatives aligned with venue and company goals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in hospitality, food & beverage, or venue operations
  • Proven experience managing large teams in a fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and labor models
  • Knowledge of alcohol service laws, food safety standards, and regulatory compliance
