CobbFendley is seeking a skilled Deltek Application Administrator with hands-on experience in Deltek Vantagepoint and a deep familiarity with financial management, project/resource management, and business development modules. This role involves actively supporting and optimizing Deltek ERP solutions specifically tailored to the engineering industry. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can assist end-users directly, ensure smooth system functionality, and apply best practices in ERP administration. RESPONSABILITIES
- Day-to-Day System Administration:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all Deltek Vantagepoint administrative tasks, including setup, configuration, and user management.
- Manage user roles, access permissions, and system configurations to align with project and financial management needs.
- Perform daily system monitoring, troubleshoot errors, and coordinate with Deltek support for resolution as needed.
- Conduct periodic system audits and provide recommendations for system optimization.
- End-User Support & Training:
- Provide hands-on support for end-users, answering questions and resolving technical issues across financial management and project/resource management modules.
- Conduct training sessions and create instructional materials to help users effectively leverage Deltek’s functionalities.
- Proactively gather feedback from users to identify common issues or potential improvements to workflows.
- Financial Management Module:
- Configure and maintain the Deltek financial management module to support accurate billing, invoicing, and reporting.
- Collaborate closely with finance and accounting teams to support month-end and year-end closing, reporting, and audit requests.
- Ensure the system captures financial data accurately and in compliance with organizational policies and construction industry standards.
- Project and Resource Management Module:
- Configure and support the project management and resource planning functions, enabling teams to track progress, budgets, and timelines efficiently.
- Work directly with Deltek Administrators to customize workflows, dashboards, and project templates.
- CRM Module:
- Configure and support the CRM functions
- Collaborate closely with marketing team to implement process and development training program
- System Customization and Enhancement:
- Customize forms, fields, reports, and dashboards within Deltek to meet evolving project and financial tracking requirements.
- Implement automation workflows for frequently used processes to enhance efficiency and minimize manual input.
- Data Integrity and Reporting:
- Develop and generate custom reports, KPIs, and dashboards for end-users and management, providing visibility into project performance, financial metrics, and resource utilization.
- Assist teams in accessing and interpreting data from Deltek, ensuring they have reliable insights for decision-making.
- Documentation and Process Optimization:
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, customization, and troubleshooting processes.
- Continuously review and refine system configurations to align with best practices and construction industry trends.
- Identify opportunities to streamline Deltek processes and workflows, making recommendations to improve ERP efficiency.
- Future Team Leadership (Growth Opportunity):
- As the organization expands, prepare to assume team leadership responsibilities by training and mentoring future Deltek support staff.
- Support the planning and development of a team dedicated to Deltek system support and enhancement.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a Deltek Application Administrator or similar role supporting Deltek Vantagepoint.
- Proven expertise in configuring and supporting financial management and project/resource management modules.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Deltek Vantagepoint administration including configuring modules, customizing fields/reports, and managing user access.
- Familiarity with engineering project workflows including budgeting, resource allocation, and cost tracking.
- Basic knowledge of integrations between Deltek and other tools.
- Experience working with SQL or similar query languages is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in Deltek Vantagepoint or similar ERP platforms.
- Prior experience in a engineering-focused organization or similar project-based industry.

EXPECTED WORK HOURS
- This is a full-time position, generally 40 hours per week, however, hours may fluctuate depending on department needs including the use of overtime.
- CobbFendley’s standard operating hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM CST. Generally, employees receive a 1-hour unpaid lunch break free of duty. Please note, operating hours and lunch hours may differ based on project workload, primarily for field staff.
WORK LOCATION FLEXIBILTY
- This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule once the training period is complete as established by the department.
