Position Summary

The Paralegal will support and report directly to Electrolit’s USA Corporate Counsel, providing comprehensive legal and administrative assistance across corporate, transactional, intellectual property, regulatory, litigation and pre-litigation matters related to Electrolit’s operations in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) and nonalcoholic industry. This role will assist with drafting documents, contract administration, regulatory compliance support, intellectual property, legal records management and liaising with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel as necessary. This position is essential to Electrolit’s fast growing commercial environment, ensuing that the legal documentation, transactions, processes and records consistently align with guidance from Corporate Counsel, applicable laws, industry regulations, and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research on statutes, regulations, and case law relevant to consumer products, food & beverage manufacturing, advertising, labeling, distribution, and general corporate matters to support the Corporate Counsel.
  • Conduct research on public records and government agencies.
  • Draft, edit, and format legal documents including commercial contracts, supply and distribution agreements, SaaS agreements, marketing agreements, NDAs, settlement agreements, correspondence, pleadings, and internal legal documents.
  • Provide administrative and analytical support.
  • Support regulatory, compliance, and audit initiatives by organizing documentation related to the FDA, FTC, state regulatory agencies, and other governmental entities.
  • Assist with intellectual property management, including tracking trademarks, copyrights, and related filings under the direction of the Corporate Counsel.
  • Coordinate the collection, review, and production of documents for litigation, pre-litigation disputes, or regulatory matters handled in partnership with external legal counsel.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical legal records in accordance with Electrolit’s document retention policies and legal department standards.
  • Monitor and track contract renewals, compliance deadlines, filings, and legal obligations to ensure timely follow-up and completion.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Corporate Counsel and internal departments including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, HR, IT, and Finance.
  • Ensure consistency in legal terminology, formatting, and documentation practices across all legal communications and records.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of legal processes, documentation workflows and organizational practices to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Corporate Counsel to support the Legal Department’s operational needs.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of legal research, document drafting, and in-house legal operations, preferably within a consumer-packaged goods, food, or beverage industry
  • Experience conducting research on public records, court records, and government agency websites.
  • Familiarity with commercial contracts, supplier and distributor relationships, marketing and advertising compliance, and regulatory considerations impacting consumer products.
  • Ability to interpret statutes, regulations, contracts, and legal documents and summarize information clearly for business use.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and sensitive information in a fast-paced corporate setting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Dropbox, SharePoint, Docusign, legal research platforms such as LexisNexis, as well as experience with enterprise legal management tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating closely with the Corporate Counsel and cross-functional teams across the organization.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion and judgement in handling confidential, sensitive, and proprietary company information.
  • Ability to serve as a Texas Notary Public.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Paralegal Certificate from an accredited program required.
  • Two (2) or more years of paralegal or legal support experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a corporate, regulatory, or law firm environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with beverage industry, business, commercial, or compliance-related legal matters preferred.

  • Ability to work extended hours as needed to meet legal deadlines or business demands.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance with company policies.
  • Bilingual

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
  • Ability to occasionally stand, bend, or reach to access files or records.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work in an office environment with standard business equipment.
  • This position requires in-office presence 5 days per week and is not a remote position.
