Reports to: Head of Construction / Project Manager
We are seeking a Construction Superintendent to plan, coordinate, and supervise the execution of civil works and installations for wastewater treatment, potable water, and recycling plant projects. This role ensures compliance with engineering drawings, technical specifications, regulations, and company standards for quality, schedule, cost, safety, and environmental performance. Additionally, the Construction Superintendent will ensure that each project is executed in accordance with engineering requirements, company policies, and contractual obligations with the client.
What You’ll Do
- Monitor the project execution plan and schedule resources (material, human, financial).
- Supervise on‑site activities to ensure compliance with technical specifications, safety rules, and quality standards.
- Supervise and evaluate contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel.
- Control budgets, progress payments, and physical and financial progress according to the approved schedule.
- Resolve technical, logistical, and administrative issues during project execution.
- Ensure the proper implementation of quality control and industrial safety procedures.
- Report incidents, non‑conformities, and deviations; coordinate corrective actions.
- Provide weekly reports on project progress, risks, and key issues.
- Develop and follow up on the construction schedule to ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Enforce safety, health, and environmental standards; stop work when necessary.
What You Bring
Education
- Civil Engineer, Construction Engineer, Architect, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum: 5 years in construction projects related to hydraulic, sanitary, or industrial works.
- Experience working with contractors, clients, and authorities.
- Supervision of civil, electrical, structural, and electromechanical works.
- Budget control, progress estimates, and project tracking.
- (Desirable) experience in wastewater treatment plants or similar infrastructure projects.
Technical Knowledge
- Interpretation of civil, structural, electrical, and hydraulic drawings.
- Knowledge of construction regulations and standards (local authorities, safety agencies, utilities).
- Knowledge of construction materials and techniques.
- Environmental and site safety regulations.
- Software: MS Project, AutoCAD, advanced Excel (required).
