DescriptionWood is currently searching for a talented Engineering Intern (such as Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, ect.) to support our Subsea Construction / Commissioning group in the Houston, TX office. The Engineering Intern will assist Engineers & other Group personnel in developing and delivering work scopes. The internship duration is expected to be Β 10-12 weeks. Β Due to the nature of the role, Wood will be considering local, qualified candidates first (Wood will not assist in relocation).

ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:Β
- Assist with the performance of design / concept & engineering of the project solutions
- Assist with the preparation and checking of engineering reports and procedures
- Interact with department members to ensure that work is produced and issued in a timely manner and project information is distributed amongst them
- Contribute to lessons learned exercises
- Support local field work at vendor sites in an oversite capacity
- Establish good rapport and build relationships with peers and clients by responding to requests and communicating information in a timely manner
- Comply with all company policies including safety policies.
QualificationsQualifications:
- Working on Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (such as Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, ect);
- Previous internship experience in OilΒ & Gas a strong asset
- Excellent communication (written and spoken) and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced and flexible environment
