Client Success & Marketing Operations Manager
Bolder&LouderClient Success & Marketing Operations Manager
Houston / Katy – Hybrid/Remote
Full-Time $40,000-$60,000, up to 4 weeks leave/year + Bonus
Are you someone that’s ridiculously organized? Do you make lists for your lists, notice the tiny detail everyone else missed, and lay awake at night at night running the day’s events through your head to check if there’s anything you missed?
If you’re nodding, keep reading.
We’re an award-winning boutique growth and marketing agency based in NYC, and we’re building a team in Houston. We’re looking for an exceptional Client Success & Operations Manager to help keep our clients, projects and team moving brilliantly.
And here’s the important part: you do NOT need to have spent your career in marketing.
You might be returning to the workforce after taking several years away. You might be making a career pivot. You may have worked in events, recruiting, hospitality, education, executive support, operations, client service, sales or maybe something entirely different.
We’re hiring for capability, not the perfect marketing résumé. If you’re exceptionally organized, polished, communicate brilliantly, are tech savvy and naturally take ownership, we can teach you the marketing.
Does This Sound Like You?
You’re a Type A personality, possibly a little OCD. You love creating order out of chaos, keeping lots of moving pieces straight and making sure every i is dotted and every t is crossed.
You’re also a switch hitter. One minute you might be checking that a client website revision has been completed correctly, the next you’re following up with a designer, joining a client call, proofreading a campaign, organizing a photoshoot or figuring out why something has stalled.
You can move quickly without becoming scattered, pivot when priorities change and still keep track of everything else.
You’re also great with people. You have enough emotional intelligence to read a room, communicate confidently with a CEO, know when someone needs reassurance and know when they simply need the problem solved.
Most importantly, when you say you’re going to do something, people know it will get done.
What You’ll Do
Every private client at Bolder&Louder has a dedicated team around them. Your job is to help keep all the moving pieces organized, clients happy and projects moving forward.
You’ll:
- Keep projects moving. Manage timelines, priorities, tasks and deliverables across multiple client accounts.
- Own the workflow. Keep ClickUp current, follow up on outstanding work and make sure nothing slips, stalls or quietly disappears.
- Be a switch hitter. Jump in wherever needed to help get something across the finish line.
- Work closely with Client Success. Be the right hand to our Director of Client Success & Brand Dominance and help deliver an exceptional client experience.
- Coordinate across the team. Work with strategists, designers, copywriters, developers, video editors and other specialists.
- Quality-check everything. Catch typos, missed changes, broken links, inconsistencies and those irritating little mistakes most people don’t notice.
- Communicate with clients. Participate in calls, provide updates, follow up on action items and build strong relationships.
- Stay ahead of problems. Chase what needs chasing, remove roadblocks and solve small issues before they become big ones.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly client reports that are accurate, polished and delivered on time.
We’re a small, high-performing team, so this is not a role for someone who says, “That’s not my job.” Everyone pitches in when needed.
You’ll Probably Love This Job If...
You’re obsessive about details, love a good checklist and hate leaving people hanging. You naturally follow up without needing to be reminded. You’re comfortable juggling lots of moving pieces. You write extremely well and communicate clearly, warmly and professionally. You have good judgment and common sense. You’re curious, tech-savvy and quick to learn new systems. You’re happy working independently but genuinely enjoy being part of a team.
And you get an enormous amount of satisfaction from looking at a complicated project and thinking:
“Don’t worry. I’ve got it.”
What You Don’t Need
You do not need:
- A marketing degree
- Five years of agency experience
- A perfectly linear career
- To already know every piece of marketing software we use
We are very open to career pivots and people returning to the workforce after time away.
We’d much rather hire an extraordinary person with the right attitude, organization and communication skills and teach them marketing than hire someone with ten years of marketing experience who can’t keep things moving.
What You Do Need
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Obsessive attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- High emotional intelligence
- Confidence communicating directly with clients
- Strong follow-through
- Good judgment and common sense
- The ability to prioritize and take ownership
- Comfort learning and using technology
- The ability to work independently without constant supervision
- A genuine interest in marketing, business and helping companies grow
Experience with ClickUp, Dropbox, Frame.io, Google Drive or email marketing platforms is useful, but not required. If you’re tech-savvy, we’ll teach you our systems.
Location & Working Style
This is a full-time, hourly position based in the Houston area.
You’ll work primarily from a dedicated home office, with approximately 1–2 days per week from our Katy office space.
There is flexibility around working hours. You’ll need to be reliably available during agreed business hours for client calls, team meetings and anything requiring a quick response, but we care far more about responsiveness, quality and getting the work done than whether every day follows exactly the same schedule.
You must have a quiet, professional-looking dedicated home office suitable for Zoom calls without interruptions.
Compensation
$40,000-$60,000, depending on experience and capability, plus performance-based bonus, up to 4 weeks leave a year (yes you read that right) plus statutory holidays, exceptional personal development opportunities and a formalized professional development plan with a learning budget.
There is significant room to grow. We’re building our Houston team, and for the right person there will be opportunities to take on substantially more responsibility and a much bigger role as the company grows.
Why Bolder&Louder
You won’t be one tiny cog in a huge company. You’ll work directly with entrepreneurs, CEOs and a talented team of specialists, and you’ll see the work you’re coordinating actually make a difference.
You’ll learn an enormous amount about marketing, branding, strategy and business growth while having the flexibility of hybrid work and still being part of a close-knit team.
