Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our dedicated transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service.
Duties
- Operate 10 speed manual transmission freightliner Columbia trucks.
- Drop and hook, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
- Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
- Drive manual transmission vehicles.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the truck in accordance with company standards.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
- Proven minimum 2 years OTR experience in truck driving.
- Ability to drop and hook freight safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with manual transmission driving is required.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and regulations related to commercial driving.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with dispatchers and customers.
- Clean background and No DUI.
- Dedicated and dependable.
