Position: Warehouse Supervisor

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

To him/her report: Lead Warehouse Associate, Warehouse Associate, Decanters


Essential functions:

  • Leadership + Management equals Accountability philosophy
  • Oversee all Food Safety and Quality rules and regulations are in compliance
  • Able to manage and track the daily decanting process
  • Ensures organization of the warehouse product by FIFO within dry storage, coolers and freezers
  • Perform inventory checks and control; Maintain par levels and alert for overstock and shortages 
  • Completing waste logs for financial controlling review 
  • Enforce limitations of warehouse access 
  • Develop and train all team members related to warehousing procedures for equipment and dry, fresh and frozen food receiving, food product thawing, Custom Approved Store Room (CASR) handling, internal customer requisitions, and produce, fruits and product decanting 
  • Notify and support Warehouse Manager with FPY compliance metrics, staffing absences and tardiness, and needed repairs or equipment purchases

Requirements

 Requirements, but not limited to: 

  • This position may require flexible work schedules that is within a 24/7 work environment. 
  • This position requires experience in Leadership, Management, demanding Accountability and a high degree of Training and Teaching abilities, to lead the entire team to successfully comply with all food safety rules and regulations. 
  • Maintain proper receiving logs to check temperatures, expiration dates, damages and record receiving and use by dates for CCP1 documentation. 
  • Accountable for walking all storing and delivery areas to check for process compliance and cleanliness. 
  • Rotate facilitation of Internal Feedback Loop (IFBL) and Safety Circle briefings. 
  • Attend and ensure Daily Shift Huddles occur. Expected to submit weekly Continuous Improvement (CI) events that include specific visual and documented organizational benefits. 
  • Support as backup to Warehouse Manager when necessary. 
  • Must submit an End of Shift Report daily to distribution list.


Qualifications

  • Team oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Able to work in a cold environment (41 F cold room) as well as walk-in freezer as needed
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed
  • Eligibility for an IAH Airport ID (pass 10 years federal background check)
  • Possess organizational, analytical, communication and leadership skills 
  • Ability to read and interpret loading instructions, diagrams, and food menu specifications
  • Being well versed in Microsoft Office
  • Highly flexible and analytical, pro-active team player
  • Excellent knowledge of workplace safety including food and hygiene standards
  • Airline Catering industry knowledge is a plus
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
Salary Description
$55,000 - $65,000 per year
