DescriptionRole Summary:
The Accountant role will support the Company’s financial reporting, accounting operations, and growth initiatives. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, assisting with audits, and collaborating with other corporate departments to ensure transactions are properly recorded in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general ledger accounting activities, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations.
- Participate in the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Support the annual financial audit.
- Maintain up-to-date financial records and prepare ad-hoc financial reports as needed.
- Assist with quarterly reviews, interim and year-end external audits.
- Special projects and other assigned duties.
Essential Skills and Competencies:
- Experience with general ledger reporting systems and financial statement preparation
- In-depth understanding of account reconciliations and GAAP principles
- Understanding of debits and credits supporting recorded transactions
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and accountability
- Effective time management and organizational skills required to adapt to changing priorities and evolving business needs
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to recommend solutions to identified issues
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Education or Certification required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Candidates with general business degrees and a concentration of accounting courses will be considered.
- 2-4 years of experience in accounting or finance.
