Description

Job Overview:

Perform accounting activities on behalf of the Onshore Western Hemisphere finance group.  Assist with monthly consolidation related close activities, including intercompany elimination, project related and FX entries.



Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the Area consolidation of the Company’s operating entities through HFM reporting applications, including consolidation entries, foreign currency, intercompany transactions and reconciliations, and elimination process
  • Analyze intercompany clearing and suspense accounts to ensure they are recorded and eliminated appropriately on a monthly basis
  • Originate and process journal entries
  • Monthly intercompany billing and intercompany account balance confirmations
  • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Prepare supplemental/memo data for loading into reporting systems
  • Analyze and prepare cash reporting for weekly cash forecasting
  • Assist in implementing consolidation-related process improvement initiatives and prepare ad hoc financial analyses as required for management and in support of financial reporting requirements
  • Support consolidation team for internal/external audits in annual audits and quarterly reviews
  • Perform ad-hoc assignments on a monthly basis for management review


Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 2 - 5 years consolidation experience
  • Intermediate to advanced excel skills strongly preferred
  • Good communication skills
  • Understanding of HFM reporting systems and JDE, a plus
  • Previous experience with Oracle HFM and Smart View, strongly preferred
  • Specific experience and knowledge of the consolidation process
  • Excellent understanding of accounting and consolidation concepts
  • Enjoy working in a changing and flexible environment
